EDUCATION & TRAINING:

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). I earned my Master of Science

in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, Davie, FL and a Bachelor of Science in

Literature, Media and Communication from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA.

COUNSELING APPROACH:

Change is consistently occurring around us. Like the changing of the seasons, some things are

out of your control. However, understanding your self-identity, personality, wants and needs is

within your control. Only you have the power to decide who you are and who you want to be.

I view therapy as a chance to try and do. This is a new adventure for you! Together, you can

learn new skills to assist in your interpersonal relationships, as well as improve your tolerance for distress. I integrate somatic (relating to the body) and cognitive (relating to the mind) tools to equip you with the skills that you need for your therapeutic adventure. I mainly utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-focused Therapy. I strive to work alongside my clients, to support you, encourage you, and challenge you as you discover your path of healing and change.

I enjoy painting my nails, reading fantasy/fiction books, playing video games, and gardening.  As a former athlete, I was a swimmer, gymnast, and lacrosse player. Now I’m a runner, and my goal is to run a race in every state!

AREAS OF EXPERIENCE:

I offer services for adolescents (14 years+), young adults, and adults in individual, couples and family settings. I have a particular interest in working with current and former athletes, as well as individuals looking to incorporate movement in the healing process.

The following are some of the areas my services include:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Life transitions

  • Identify formation

  • Grief

  • Shame/self-image
