EDUCATION & TRAINING:

I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Carolina Central

University. I plan to pursue licensure as a Mental Health Counselor. I also have a Ph.D. in

Theological and Philosophical Studies from Drew University, an M.A. in Systematic and

Philosophical Theology from the Graduate Theological Union, and a B.A. from UNC-Chapel

Hill. I have worked in campus ministry for the last decade, including pastoral care.

COUNSELING APPROACH:

I employ a range of techniques, all of which are person-centered. Working collaboratively with

you to set goals and find approaches that best suit your needs is my organizing principle. I

employ Individual Psychology, Positive Psychology, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral

Therapy, among others, to help clients find clarity on the challenges they face, and to develop tools for meeting their goals. In all of our work together, your perspective and goals will shape the therapies we choose.

AREAS OF EXPERIENCE:

I have worked with Adults, including Young Adults, extensively. I have experience with issues particular to academic settings, to discernment of life choices, and to navigating issues of identity.

I am well-suited for work with the following challenges:

Depression

Anxiety

Trauma

Religious Trauma

Grief and Loss
